5 Minute Grilled Cinnamon Toast with Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1-2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 4 ounces milk, dark or semi chocolate, chopped

  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the chopped chocolate to one side of one of the pieces of toast, then place the other piece of toast on top.
  6. Grill in the skillet for 1-2 minute per side or until the chocolate it gooey and melted. EAT right away… as if you could resist waiting even a second.

  • 4 slices whole wheat or multi-grain sandwich bread
  • salted butter, softened at room temperature
  • 6 “jumbo size” marshmallows (like these)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or 1 white chocolate bar, broken into pieces

  5. Gently place each sandwich on the preheated grill and either close the panini maker, or top with a heavy object such as another heavy pan, a heavy heat-proof plate, or a tea kettle filled with water.
  6. Press down and let grill about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, then flip and cook on other side (if you’re using a panini press, there is no need to flip.)
  7. Cut each sandwich in half and sprinkle with a bit of sea salt.
  8. Serve immediately.
